There may be several ways to add signatures to you BlackBerry emails, but one interesting way is by using one little BlackBerry utility application called TimelySnippet – a Text Snippet Library for Your BlackBerry phone.
The basic purpose for TimelySnippet is to store a collection of commonly used text phrases or text snippets and insert them in your emails or messages or anywhere else when required. Here we will use it to store various email signatures and use it in our emails.
Once you have downloaded TimelySnippet, install and open the application.
This will take you to a screen where you can add more snippets as below.
To add a new snippet, click on the BlackBerry menu option button . This will display a menu with several options, click on the “Add New Snippet” option.
You will now be taken to another screen to add your snippet, in this case, it will be a text for email signature.
The screen shown above will have two text boxes. The Preview Text is short display text for you to click on when inserting a snippet and Snippet Text is the actual text that will be inserted.
By default, both these boxes are single line, but if you enter a line break, these text boxes will automatically become multi-line.
Once you have created the signature for your email, click on the save button to save it.
Now open an email and start typing it till the point you want to insert a signature.
Once you are at this point, click the BlackBerry menu option button and this will display various options. Select “Insert TimelySnippet” option.
Clicking on this option will pop-up another window with list of added snippets. Click on your signature and the signature will be inserted.
The signature will be inserted as in the image below.
